WorkTools 3.1.0 is intentionally local-first.
Spreadsheet contents
Files selected in WorkTools are processed in your browser. The application has no spreadsheet upload endpoint, account system or cloud spreadsheet database. Spreadsheet contents are not sent to the WorkTools server.
Local processing
CSV/text parsing, workbook reading, record matching, comparison and result generation happen in browser memory. Excel support is provided by a locally hosted copy of SheetJS on the same WorkTools web server.
Learning progress
If you mark lessons complete or finish a quiz, WorkTools stores that progress in your browser's local storage. It is not tied to an account and is not uploaded to the WorkTools server. Clearing browser site data removes that local progress.
Cookies and analytics
WorkTools does not use application accounts or advertising cookies. Aggregate website traffic analytics may be enabled through Cloudflare to understand page visits and performance. Spreadsheet file contents are not included in analytics requests.
Server logs
The web server may record ordinary request metadata such as IP address, requested page, timestamp, HTTP status and browser information for security and operational monitoring. Spreadsheet file contents are not part of those requests.
Exports
CSV and XLSX result files are generated locally in your browser.
